MLC Girls Grammar

This 4,000 sq. m. development is a state-of-the-art facility incorporating the most advanced intelligence of childhood learning and education.

An environment where the interior learning “studios” flow out into landscaped gardens encouraging children to create their own learning experience working in groups and teams where teachers are guides rather than instructors.

The environment is sensory rich and reliant on advanced technology to keep students connected to external resources. A function centre on the roof is provided for learning and social events and enjoys panoramic city views.

The building consists of large span flexible floor plates providing maximum internal flexibility. The three floor plates are arranged to create a village with a central piazza forming a communal focal point for students, parents and teachers around a café and congregation space. Learning studios are all north facing with operable glass doors providing access to the landscaped garden. This northern façade is fully operable allowing the building to “breathe”.

The eight GLA’s, accompanied by five independent learning areas, are enclosed by glazed walls, allowing visibility both internally, into the main flexible learning area and other learning areas, and externally, to the green heart of the campus.

Campus MLC NAB Wealth, Sydney

Building on the existing benchmark workplace designed in 1999, Woods Bagot’s interiors for Campus MLC & NAB Wealth in North Sydney utilises a layered approach.

An evolution, rather than a revolution, has been created in the workplace, pushing the project into the future to create a leading edge work environment.

As one of the largest implementations to date of a workplace transformation for NAB – covering 22,115m² –  Woods Bagot and NAB carried out an extensive consultation process.

Woods Bagot workplace consultant Amanda Stanaway says, “The new workplace aligns to a broader vision for NAB that is being implemented across its portfolio.”

Featuring Tretford Roll and Tile carpet, this building consists of large span flexible floor plates providing maximum internal flexibility. The three floor plates are arranged to create a village with a central piazza forming a communal focal point for students, parents and teachers around a café and congregation space. Learning studios are all north facing with operable glass doors providing access to the landscaped garden. This northern façade is fully operable allowing the building to “breathe”.

The workplace reinvigoration for Campus MLC & NAB Wealth created an opportunity to transform the physical and virtual space, bringing the workplace into the 21st Century.
